Lori shared those pictures of a Solyndra roof top installation in Houston:
Here’s what our friends over at Ignite Solar wrote about this installation:
The Pasadena Independent School District (PISD) Solar Initiative is the largest solar installation in Harris County. The project is the result of a partnership between the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) and PISD and installed various solar technologies on two schools in PISD—Sam Rayburn High School and South Houston High School. The project represents one of the largest solar installations in the Houston area and for a public school system in the State of Texas.
The system installation consists of three separate technologies—crystalline panels, thin-film modules, and cylindrical modules which are being used for the first time in the Houston area. Students will be able to monitor students to learn and work with scientists and engineers to track, monitor, and analyze data related to the benefits of the diverse power technologies.
Panels were also installed on the south-facing awning above the second story windows at Sam Rayburn High School forming the biggest solar awning installation in Harris County.
We are proud to be a reliable partner for solar installers here in Texas! Thank you Lori for sharing this great solar success story and for sharing the pictures of the ribbon cutting!
